31Shajareh Tayyebeh Wall Carpet (The family tree of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and his progeny (AS)) Design: Prayer Niche (Mehrabi) and Tree (Derakhty) 85 cm×Size: 140 Raw materials: silk (warp: silk, weft: silk, pile: silk) Kind of knots: asymmetrical Weaver: Syedeh Farideh Mousavi Endowed by the weaver This carpet, with prayer niche design, is one of the most distinguished carpets on view in the museum. The main field shows the family tree of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and his progeny (AS) according to the interpretation of the 24th verse of Ibrahim Sura. It has 63 leaves, each one inscribed with a holy name of Allah, which symbolize the age of the Prophet at his demise. There are also 14 sunflowers which symbolize the 14 infallible Imams. Around the top corners of the prayer niche, there are Quranic verses on preaching, perfection of the religion and cleansing and quotations from Imam Muhammad Baqir (AS) on justice which, in Islams view, is the most significant factor in establishing a government. The border of this exquisite carpet is inscribed with a famous poem in praise of Imam Ali (AS) written by late Shahriar

It was inaugurated in 1998 and contains carpets and rugs of exquisite work in silk, braid, wool, soft wool and embossed designs from 500 years ago up to the present time. Here are also curtains with braid and needle work from the Qajar period.
